Today Spacemen Labs LLC officially launches our latest project: Layoffspace.com. The idea for Layoffspace originated back in November of 2006. Since then we have been brainstorming ideas and trying to develop our vision into a viable web site. The web site has been under development for the last 3 months and finally we are proud to present it to the public. The goal of Layoffspace is to provide a central place for anyone who is looking for work to network, connect and get career advice. Being unemployed puts enormouse strain on people and we felt that a social network dedicate to the unemployed would be a great place for people to get help and find direction. Sharemyway.org is a blog installation maintained by Spacemen Labs. It was created as a communication conduit between the Rotarians visiting Korea and their friends and relatives in the United States. For four weeks a team of women and men were staying in South Korea under the sponsorship of the Rotary Foundation. The goal of this trip was to experience the host country’s institutions and ways of life, observe their own vocations as practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships and exchange ideas.

The WordPress installation consisted of the latest Wordpress version, various plugins to accomodate picture/photo uploading and resizing as well as modifications to the template to streamline it and remove unnecessary code. The result was a succesful blog that had 36 posts and 153 comments in four weeks of operations with no downtime.
